“If there are no dogs in Heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went.” – Will Rogers
Sadly, our beloved reading dog Zeb passed away earlier this month.  Zeb was only five years old, but suffered a bout a GVD where a dog's stomach dilates and twists.  He was a happy guy who loved his four years of interacting in the library with kids and adults alike.  Reading mornings were his absolute favorite of days. Our hearts go out to Zeb's family, Candy and Lee Gardner and dog Coco.  Coco, who had been easing into her role part time, will move into full time reading dog here at PCL. Zeb, wherever you are, we hope there are many stories to listen to and people to snuggle with.  We LOVE you!

A HUGE thank you to all of you for your end of year gifts to Peninsula Community Library's building fund.  In all, about $90,000 was given to the fund through the letter sent out in November.  Our fund now stands at over 1.8 million in gifts and pledges as we mount a push toward our goal of 2.5 million.  Please please please give whatever you can.  This is a community project for all residents, young and old, summer and year round, tall and short and in between.  You are gonna LOVE the new library!!!

"Dogs do speak, but only to those who know how to listen." ~ Author Orhan Pamuk.  Zeb both spoke and listened.  We miss you, Zeb!
